In short
Inovatree represents clients in family and matrimonial matters before Family Courts and High Courts: mutual consent and contested divorce, maintenance and alimony, child custody and support, domestic violence protection and adoption. We assess each situation first, then resolve it through negotiation, mediation or litigation, with the welfare of children as the first concern.
What we do
Divorce
Divorce can be overwhelming, but you do not have to handle it alone. We guide you through each stage, including division of assets and liabilities and spousal support, aiming for a fair outcome that protects your future.
Mutual consent divorce
When both spouses agree on property, custody and maintenance, a mutual consent divorce reduces conflict and time. We draft the settlement terms and handle both motions.
Contested divorce
When spouses disagree on assets, custody or maintenance, we assess the case, build a strategy and represent you in negotiation, mediation or trial, aiming for a fair division and a clean break.
Maintenance and alimony
Interim and permanent maintenance for spouses and children under Section 144 of the BNSS, the Hindu Marriage Act, the Domestic Violence Act and personal laws. The amount depends on the length of the marriage, both spouses' finances and their reasonable needs.
Child custody and support
Children's welfare comes first. We help build custody, visitation and child support arrangements that give stability in the short and long term.
Domestic violence
Guidance through the court process and applications for protection, residence and monetary relief under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, with your safety as the priority.
Adoption
Full legal support through the adoption process so you understand each step and every legal requirement is met.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a mutual consent divorce take in India?
Under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act the second motion is ordinarily heard at least six months after the first. The Supreme Court held in Amardeep Singh v. Harveen Kaur (2017) that courts may waive this cooling-off period in suitable cases, so some divorces finish much sooner.
Can a working wife claim maintenance?
Yes, if her income is not enough to maintain the standard of living she had during the marriage. Education or earning capacity alone is not a ground to refuse maintenance.
Who gets custody of children after divorce?
There is no automatic rule. Courts decide custody on the welfare of the child, considering age, emotional bonds, schooling, stability and each parent's capacity, and usually give the other parent visitation rights.
What relief is available under the Domestic Violence Act?
A court can pass protection orders, residence orders allowing the woman to stay in the shared household, monetary relief, custody orders and compensation, including interim orders while the case is pending.
